According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, a Lima woman was seriously injured Tuesday evening as a result of a motorcycle crash.
Brittany Schmimmoeller, 35, was riding her 2005 Harley-Davidson southbound on State Route 235 near Township Road 240 when she failed to negotiate a curve.
Her motorcycle veered to the right side of the road and collided with a guardrail.
According to deputies, Schmimmoeller was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was ejected from the bike upon impact.
Indian Lake EMS transported her to Lima Memorial Hospital with suspected serious injuries.
The motorcycle was severely damaged and towed away from the scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
