Over 8,000 New Cases of COVID-19 Confirmed in Ohio; New Single Day Cases Record

Since Thursday in the State of Ohio, 8,048 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 318,151. This is the highest number of single day confirmed cases. There were 65 new deaths. 5,955 people have died of COVID-19 in Ohio. 398 people were also hospitalized. Thousands of additional cases are still pending review.

Since Wednesday in Erie County, 81 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 1,776. There more people died from COVID-19. 67 people have from COVID-19 in Erie County. 10 more people were hospitalized. 38 people are currently being hospitalized for COVID-19 at Firelands. 266 total people have been hospitalized. 613 people are also currently under quarantine or isolation.
