Lorain County, Ohio — County officials say the network security incident that caused several Lorain County court divisions to close last week has been resolved.
The cyber incident, which was first reported late on Thursday, May 29, disrupted multiple internal systems and forced the closure of the Lorain County Common Pleas Court and its divisions—including general, domestic relations, juvenile, and adult probation—on Friday, May 30.
On Monday, county officials confirmed that the affected systems had been safely restored, and that all departments were fully operational.
Officials stated that all court services have resumed normal operations, with no further disruptions expected.
“We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding during this incident,” the statement read. “Protecting the privacy and security of our data remains a top priority.”
There is still no word on what caused the security incident.
