Ashland, Ohio – Following a shooting at a bar, Ashland police have one person in custody.
According to police, officers arrived at the Wagon Wheel parking lot on Orange Road around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Officers discovered an Ashland resident who had been shot in the torso. He was taken to the hospital and is currently recovering, according to police.
Police apprehended David Struckoff, 25, of Nova. He is being held in Ashland County Jail on felony assault charges.
The Ashland County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case to determine whether additional charges are warranted.
According to police, officers seized a handgun during the investigation.
“There are currently no safety concerns for the community,” police told me.
