LIMA, Ohio – A Lima man is in custody after leading police on a chase through the northern Miami Valley early Wednesday, September 24.
A sheriff’s deputy attempted to pull over Johnathan Herder in Lima around 1 a.m. for a traffic violation. Deputies claim he sped away, at one point attempting to hit a deputy at high speed.
Herder was stopped and arrested shortly before 2 a.m. on Moulton-New Knoxville Road near Plank Pike in Auglaize County.
Herder had an active arrest warrant.
