Unbeaten Colonel Crawford subdues Buckeye Central

NEW WASHINGTON — Colonel Crawford’s undefeated season continued with a solid win over Buckeye Central on Friday night in a Crawford County rivalry game.

Senior Connor McMichael helped the Eagles take off with a 14-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.

The floodgates opened during the second period.

Dominic Dean scored on a 9-yard run, McMichael on a 17-yard dash, Trace Skaggs returned an interception 12 yards for a touchdown, and Parker Weithman’s 48-yard punt return, all followed by Joseph Zizzo PATs, gave C.C. a 35-0 halftime lead.

The second half was played with a running clock.

Avery Powers scored from 7 yards to make the score 42-0 entering the fourth quarter.

The Bucks avoided a shutout with a fourth-quarter touchdown on Military Appreciation Night.

The Eagles are currently 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the Northern 10. C.C. will host Bucyrus next week.

Buckeye Central falls to 3-2 and 1-1. The Bucks visit Mohawk on Friday night.
