Aberdeen, SD – A vigil to honor Charlie Kirk’s life will be held in Central Park on Sunday night at 7 p.m.
The press release on Facebook is as follows:
“This is a time for our community and beyond to unite in prayer, song, Scripture, and testimony to honor Charlie Kirk. He was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother; a steadfast defender of the faith; and an inspiration to our country and the world.
Charlie was unashamed of objective truth, prioritizing God and encouraging others to do the same. He often reminded us, “When people stop talking, violence follows.” He believed in respectful dialogue, courage in the face of adversity, and the power of truth to liberate individuals.
This vigil commemorates Charlie’s life while also carrying on his legacy of speaking boldly, living faithfully, and honoring God in our homes, schools, and nation.
We will gather in Aberdeen on the same day as Charlie’s memorial service to express our solidarity with his family and all those across the country who honor his legacy of faith and truth.
The event is free and open to all.
