Van Wert, Ohiox – On Monday night, hundreds gathered at Freedom Park in Van Wert, Ohio, for a candlelight vigil honoring and celebrating Charlie Kirk’s life and memory.
Jenna Dailey, a local business owner, co-organized the event with several pastors from the community.
“I thought it was really important for us to come together as a community to celebrate and honor the life of Charlie Kirk,” Dailey told me.
Dailey says she wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of attendance because everything was put together so quickly, but she was surprised by how many people showed up.
“I said to my dad, even if only three people come to this, where three or more are gathered, I am there also. So, we had no expectations for how many people would show up. Seeing how many people have come, it’s just reassuring that the gospel is real, Jesus is real, and what Charlie Kirk was doing was very real.”

Dailey hopes that in the future, the country will be able to unite and achieve peace.
