LIMA, Ohio – The Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol has released the results of its Friday night OVI checkpoint.
The checkpoint on State Route 81 operated from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and troopers checked 286 vehicles. Three vehicles were diverted for additional investigation, and one OVI arrest was made.
Law enforcement officers conducting saturation patrols near the checkpoint also made another OVI arrest. The Allen County Sheriff’s Office helped with the checkpoint.
Troopers want to remind people not to drive while impaired by drugs or alcohol, and if they do, to designate a sober driver.
