Western Kentucky Drivers Warned of Dense Morning Fog Before Sunshine Returns and a Quiet Week Ahead

Paducah, KY – Drivers across western Kentucky should prepare for reduced visibility early Sunday as dense fog forms along I-24 and Highway 60. Motorists are advised to slow down, keep headlights on low beam, and allow extra travel time, as fog could linger until after sunrise.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, patchy fog will thicken overnight into Sunday morning, with some spots dropping visibility to less than a quarter mile. Conditions should improve by mid-morning as skies turn mostly sunny and highs climb near 90 degrees.

The rest of the week looks calm, with sunshine dominating and temperatures easing into the lower 80s starting Monday. Light north winds will keep conditions comfortable through midweek. Humidity levels remain manageable, and no hazardous storms are in the forecast, offering a stable stretch for outdoor activities and back-to-school schedules.

Drivers in McCracken, Graves, and Livingston counties should be especially cautious Sunday morning in low-lying areas where fog typically settles thickest. Sudden lane changes and high beams should be avoided while traveling through dense fog.

No severe weather alerts are in place beyond the fog advisory, and weather spotter activation is not expected.
