FORT WAYNE, Ind. – For the second day in a row, an Allen County Sheriff’s Department truck has been parked in the lot of a business corridor on Fort Wayne’s north side.
The business corridor is located in the 7700 block of Westfield Drive, which parallels Coldwater Road just northwest of Cook Road. An apartment complex sits just to the west of the businesses.
When WANE 15 inquired about why the Incident Command truck was parked there, along with yellow police tape that cordoned off an area, a sheriff’s department spokesperson stated that it is part of a “active investigation,” and that there is no danger to the public. The investigation relates to a previous case.
