Sioux Falls, South Dakota – At 9:48 p.m. on Saturday, Lincoln County deputies responded to a two-vehicle injury crash involving a motorcycle.
According to a press release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on 271st Street, east of 477th Avenue.
According to the crash investigation, a white Chevy Equinox was driving west on 271st Street when it slowed to avoid an animal in the road. A red Kawasaki ZL 1000 was also heading west when it rear-ended the Equinox.
The motorcycle driver was thrown from the bike and landed in the ditch, where he sustained minor injuries. The motorcycle operator was eventually cited for following too closely.
