Give me your Stanley Mom rushes into daughter's dispute at school and hits girl with metal water bottle, creating wound that required 17 stitches, police say

A 35-year-old mother allegedly assaulted a teen girl who was sparring with her daughter at a New York high school.

According to a press release from the Suffolk County Police Department, officers responded to a fight at Brentwood High School on Long Island around 11 a.m. on Tuesday. According to police, a 14-year-old girl was walking out of school when she began “exchanging words” with a 15-year-old. Instead of breaking up the fight, Toni Moore, the older girl’s mother, allegedly used a metal water bottle to repeatedly strike her daughter’s rival in the head.

A security guard intervened, and Moore was arrested in the parking lot shortly afterward. She faces charges of second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, the teen was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Madison Evans told New York ABC affiliate WABC that she had 17 stitches on her forehead.

“Her mom just came in and started beating me with the cup,” the tenth grader told the television station. “I touched my head because I noticed blood dripping.” I touched my head, and blood was all over my hands.”

Moore’s attorney reportedly stated during a court hearing that Evans was the aggressor and that she was at the school to meet with officials about bullying concerns.

A video of the alleged incident appears to show the two girls arguing and Moore telling her daughter to “Give me your Stanley” before the assault begins.

Madison’s guardian, Shameakca Forney, told WABC that Moore’s behavior is unacceptable.

“She could’ve died,” she said. “Anything could’ve happened to her, more than just being hit over the head and having 17 stitches.”

A judge released Moore on a GPS monitor during a court hearing on Wednesday.
