SIOUX FALLS, SD — There were numerous reports of gunfire at residences in east Sioux Falls on Monday.
According to Sioux Falls Police Department spokesperson Aaron Benson, a lady reported hearing gunshots at 3 a.m. Monday near East Brennan Drive and later noticed bullet holes in her garage. The woman phoned the police.
Surveillance video shows a white vehicle stopping outside the home at 3 a.m. and firing a few rounds at it. There are no suspects or arrests in this case yet.
Later on Monday evening, police got another report of gunshots at East 42nd Street and Banyan Avenue from a man in his garage, who said he heard gunshots and discovered bullet holes in his garage door. The man told authorities that he spotted a dark-colored automobile driving away. There are no suspects in this incident either.
Benson stated that police do not believe the incidents are related, but both are still being investigated.
