Mitchell, South Dakota – Officials have released new information about a July 2nd crash in which an 18-year-old moped driver sustained life-threatening injuries.
Around 1 p.m., at Sixth Avenue and Winsor Street, a Mitchell man driving a Jeep Compass failed to yield and collided with the moped. The teenager, who was not wearing a helmet, sustained serious injuries.
According to the Mitchell Republic, the crash prompted a discussion at the City Council meeting on July 7th, during which leaders proposed adding stop signs to slow traffic.
