LIMA, Ohio — A Lima man is being held on a murder charge following a fatal shooting at a family gathering Friday evening.
Damien Durr, 22, was booked into the Allen County Jail late Saturday night after the death of Damariante Dillingham, 30. Lima police officers responded to the 800 block of State Street shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Friday, after receiving reports of gunfire. Dillingham was taken to the hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
After interviewing witnesses, detectives obtained a warrant for Durr’s arrest. He was arrested Saturday afternoon at a home on Flanders Avenue. He is being held on a $1 million bond and is scheduled to be arraigned on the charge in the coming days.
