A 36-year-old Lorain man is facing murder charges after Sandusky police say he ran over and killed a man early Friday morning.
Sandusky Police Chief Jared Oliver said officers responded to the 1200 block of Central Avenue around 2 a.m. on July 11.
“Witnesses called to report some sort of altercation in the roadway between two males,” the commander said. “A male was observed standing on top of another male. The subject then entered a Cadillac Escalade parked in a driveway.”
According to the chief, the victim got up from the ground, and the suspect is accused of running him over before driving away.
According to police, the suspect’s vehicle was discovered parked in the driveway of a Lorain home.
“Detectives and officers with Lorain Police Department executed a search warrant at the residence,” Oliver informed the audience.
He stated that the vehicle was recovered, and the suspect, Joshua P. Head, was arrested and charged with murder.
Oliver thanked the Lorain police for their assistance.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
