A drive-by shooting just outside of a Chicago rapper’s album release party killed at least four people and injured 14 others, according to authorities.
Around 11 p.m., a barrage of gunfire targeted guests leaving an event celebrating the release of Chicago rapper Mello Buckzz’s latest album, Hollyhood, at the Artis Lounge nightclub in the city’s River North neighbourhood. According to authorities, the incident occurred Wednesday night.
Two men, ages 24 and 25, and two women were pronounced dead, while 14 others were shot, three of whom were critically injured.
The vehicle transporting the suspect – or suspects – fled the scene immediately. There had been no arrests as of Thursday morning.
