We saw a tower being built without any notice. Homeowners want the unwanted tower removed

Lorain County, Ohio – Several homeowners claimed they awoke one day to find a massive tower just feet from their backyard.

They contacted 19 Troubleshooters to determine what was going on.

“Without warning, we saw a tower being built just feet from our property line. Krysta Tassone said, “We had to do a lot of digging to figure out what this was and who was doing it.”

A telecommunications tower for Ohio’s Multi-Agency Radio Communication System (MARCS) is only seven feet and ten inches from the Tassone property.

This is one of several new law enforcement towers in Lorain County.

It will stand 350 feet tall and is being built on land owned by Northern Ohio Rural Water.

Neighbour Jay Strauss stated that if residents must follow rules, so should everyone else.

“I was building a barn in my backyard and was told I couldn’t get a permit. Strauss said, “I had to be 100 feet, but I was 82 feet.” “Yet they can put a tower eight feet from their property line?”

When 19 Troubleshooters contacted the Brownhelm Township Trustees, they were informed that the county had removed the township from the project in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 519.211… At this time, no further comments will be made by any township officials.

Lorain County Commissioner Jim Riddell stated that engineers selected the land.

Riddell added that the county has been in communication with the township for the past year, and it is their responsibility to notify nearby property owners.

The plans were placed on the township’s agenda and are open for discussion.

Nonetheless, the updated code states: “Any person who plans to construct a telecommunications tower within one hundred feet of a residential dwelling shall provide a written notice to the owner.”

The property owners claimed it never happened.

In addition, 19 troubleshooters contacted a state spokesperson. They confirmed it’s a MARCS tower.

The tower is expected to be completed by August and guaranteed to be safe.

“To decide where to settle your family. Raise your family with the hope of never leaving. And being pushed out by something like that gives you no choice. Krysta Tassone replied, “I don’t even want to think about answering that question.”

19 Troubleshooters are waiting to see if the tower can or will come down.
