Fort Wayne, Indiana — One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in southeast Allen County on Thursday.
According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Hoagland Road and Grotrian Road around 4:15 p.m. after receiving reports of a’vehicle crash with injuries’.
Hoagland Fire and EMS also responded.
When first responders arrived on the scene, they reported finding a truck off the road that had rolled at least once.
The driver, who was said to have been ejected from the truck during the collision, was also found nearby.
Personnel began treating the man at the scene before transporting him to a local hospital.
During transport to the hospital, the truck driver was pronounced dead.
According to preliminary findings, the truck was traveling eastbound on Hoagland Road, west of Grotrian Road, when it abruptly left the road for unknown reasons.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Department and Coroner’s Office are still investigating the crash.
