Allen County, Indiana – Police are investigating a fatal crash in Allen County’s southeast corner.
According to a release from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, one man died in a crash Thursday afternoon near the intersection of Hoagland and Grotrian. That’s the rural area between Hoagland and Monroeville.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that they responded to the crash around 4:15 p.m. Officers arrived on scene and discovered a pickup truck off the road that had rolled at least once.
Investigators discovered that the man was ejected from the truck during the crash. The pickup’s driver was pronounced dead while being transported to an area hospital.
It is unclear why the vehicle left the road in the first place. The crash is still being investigated.
