Gordon MacKay

Gordon D. MacKay, 87, of Huron, died peacefully February 27, 2021 at his home. He was born on January 5, 1934 in Buffalo, New York and has been a resident of the area since 1962. Gordon enjoyed a career as a mechanical engineer for NASA. Through the years he built two houses for the family. He also enjoyed other mechanical jobs and woodworking. He loved family activities and leading discipleship Bible studies.

He is survived by his four sons, Gary (Sherry) of Milan, OH, Gregory (Lucy) of Georgetown, KY, Jeffrey (Becky) of Evans City, PA, and M ichael (Lori) of Sunbury, OH; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Barbara (Ramage) MacKay and parents, Donald and Katie Ann MacKay.

Friends may call Wednesday, March 3, 10am-10:45am at Calvary Baptist Church, 1810 E. Perkins Ave, Sandusky, OH. A memorial service will be held at 11am led by Rev. Jeff MacKay and Rev. David Hixon.

Burial will be in Scott Cemetery, Huron.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Calvary Baptist Church.
