Huron Cross County Boys Win SBC Bay Division Meet

The Huron Tiger High School Cross Country Boys team got first place at the SBC Bay Division Meet. The meet was held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Hedges-Boyer Park in Tiffin.

The boys team won with 22 points. The next closest team the Edison Charges with 57 points. The Huron Runners finished as followed: Salvador Sherer (16:50, #1), Elijah Routh (17:16, #3), Nick Pack (17:26, #4), Jacob Eck (17:53, #6), Andrew Scherley (18:01, #8), Connor Schuh (18:04, #9), Aiden Kastor (18:21,#11), Trevor Poltorek (18:24, #12), Ryan Sas (18:49, #19), Granthem Brown (19:11, #22), Joey Lowy (19:55, #29), Andrew Hardy (20:07, #30), Charlie Hardy (20:16, #32), Nathan Hinners (20:21, #35), Luke Leimeister (21:06, #41), Drew Planthaber (21:29, #44), Gabe Schwiefert (21:45, #47), Will Kastor (21:55, #50), Nick Feeney (22:10, #51), Weston Brown (23:23, #56), Kirill Turovskiy (25:27, #59), and Gabe Schleenbaker (30:18, #61).

The girls got third place with 75 points. The Edison Charges got first with 42 points and the Margaretta Polar Bears with 44 points. The Huron Runners finished as followed: Kennedy Schlessman (19;37, #2), Jadyn Towns (20:15, #3), Addison Fries (23:13, #21), Allison Blevins (23:20, #24), Makayla Koelsch (24:13, #29), Nina Schaefer (24:21, #31), Sarah Klaiber (24:25, #33), Julia Jones (24:28, #35), Regan Fry (24:33, #36), Ellee Foster (24:49, #38), Morgan Shelton (24:57, #40), Mia Boldman (26:15, #47), Chloe Pfeiffer (26:26 #49), Blair Poltorek (26:30, #50), India O’Leary (26:35, #51), Gwen Kenning (29:03, #59), Ada Vandergoot (29:17, #60), Katherine Putman (30:24, #63), Kambell Fleck (31:13, #66) and Avery Will (31:34, #67).

Both Boys and Girls Varsity Teams will continue on to Districts. The Districts meet will be held on Saturday, October 24 at Amann Reservoir in Galion.
