The Harrod Pork Rind Festival returns for its 35th year

HARROD, Ohio – On Friday, a popular Allen County festival returned for its annual run. The 35th Harrod Pork Rind Festival began, attracting visitors from several states to the village.

Fresh pork rinds were being fried on-site, and festivalgoers quickly grabbed bags. A variety of food vendors lined the streets, selling classic fair foods. The festival also included live entertainment, kids’ games, bounce houses, and a variety of other activities for everyone to enjoy.

“This event is extremely important for our community. Brings everyone together at the start of summer. It’s a great opportunity for everyone to get together and hang out while enjoying some good food and entertainment. The community is incredibly supportive of us. You know, they turn out in droves to support this festival. They come out to support the town. Kyle Hawk, festival president, stated that this is what the event is supposed to be about.

The festival will continue on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. The parade, cruise-in car show, and kiddie tractor pull are among the events scheduled.
