Edward Fuller

Edward Carl Fuller, 72, of Huron, Ohio, left this Earth to cruise the great lake in the sky on January 11th, 2021.  He was surrounded by his family and the wonderful healthcare workers at Firelands Regional Medical Center, having fought COVID-19.

Ed was born on July 13th, 1948 in Akron, OH to Carl and Janet (Loomis) Fuller.  He graduated from Fairview High School. Ed was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, having fought in Vietnam in the 1968 Tet Offensive. Afterward, he received a Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering from University of Dayton and retired from Ford Motor Company.

Ed was an intelligent, active, and kind man who gave selflessly to his friends and family. He never met a stranger, and had the ability make anyone laugh. He brought laughter and joy to the world. He was an avid boater, skier, and Jimmy Buffet fan. He loved gardening and grew amazing tomatoes. He was a skilled handyman and delighted in helping others with projects. His kindness shined through with his love of all dogs crossing his path, leaving behind his beloved Delaney and Desi. He was a loving husband to Angie, proud father to Dustin, and grandfather to the light of his life, Nathaniel. He was a member of the AMVETS Post OH 17, Fraternal Order of Eagles #2875, and Sandusky Ski Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his favorite uncle, Ed Loomis. He is survived by many people who loved him dearly: wife, Angela (Baker), son, Dustin (Heather) Theibert of Ashville, Ohio, grandson Nathaniel Theibert, siblings Kathleen (Mike) Flynn of Dayton, Ohio, and Bill (Carole) Fuller of Northboro, MA, along with several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Services will be postponed with plans for a celebration of life ceremony later in the year. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ed’s honor to the Humane Society of Erie County (1911 Superior St Sandusky, OH 44870) or a charity of one’s choice.
