Celina, Ohio — On Tuesday, a Mercer County man was arrested as part of a drug enforcement detail.
Jeremiah Williams, 43, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine after an interdiction detail conducted by Mercer County sheriff’s deputies and the Grand Lake Task Force.
During the detail, officers conducted eight traffic stops, issuing five citations and five warnings.
During one of the traffic stops, they gathered information to obtain a search warrant for Williams’ home on Wietz Road.
When law enforcement officers executed the search warrant, they discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia.
The investigation is ongoing.
Mercer County Sheriff Doug Timmerman reports that on June 11th, 2025, his office participated in an interdiction detail with members of the Grand Lake Drug Task Force. During the detail, eight (8) traffic stops were conducted, resulting in five (5) citations and five (5) warnings.
During one of the traffic stops, information was gathered that led to the issuance of a search warrant for a residence at 8941 Weitz Road in Hopewell Township. The residence contained a number of drug-related items and paraphernalia. Jeremiah Williams, 43, of Weitz Rd, was arrested. He was booked into the Mercer County Jail for Felony Possession of Methamphetamine.
The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Grand Lake Drug Task Force members, Prosecutor Erin Minor, and Celina Municipal Court Judge Kathryn Speelman.
