Drunk driving: Moore Road

On May 31, around 1:30 a.m., an officer observed a single-car accident at the intersection of Moore and Walker roads. The driver fell asleep behind the wheel and was arrested for drunk driving.

Trespassing: Lear Road

On May 28, officers were dispatched to the Laundry Dock after receiving a report of a man harassing the cleaning staff. The man was told he could no longer enter the laundromat.

Agency assist: Waterford Court

On May 24, the Elyria Police Department informed dispatch that they were in the city investigating an extortion case. A short time later, they requested assistance while an arrest was taking place. The subject was charged with vandalism, resisting arrest, obstructing official business, and assaulting a peace officer, firefighter, or medical personnel.

Disturbance: Moore Road

Officers responded to a disturbance at Third Base Bar and Grill on May 17 at around 2:50 a.m.

Theft: Lake Road

On May 28, an elderly woman reported being defrauded of $2,500.

On May 22, around 3:45 a.m., a woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop.

Officers responded to a disturbance at 1:52 a.m. on May 23. A man was taken to the Avon Cleveland Clinic for medical evaluation.

On May 14, someone reported that they believed a water line had been intentionally disconnected, causing a second-story bathroom to leak into the first floor and basement.

On May 24, a resident reported that his mailbox was lying in the middle of the tree lawn.
